New materials and coating are coming hard on the decor for their low cost and easy maintenance. However for the more traditional wood remains the ideal material for decorating the home.
To always look like the first day, here are some tips.
- Scratches: These are impossible to remove completely, but to hide them, you can take a cotton swab dipped in shoe polish and spread gently with a cloth. You can mix several to get the exact color.
- Dullness: The sprays and paints are the best options to restore shine to your furniture, but there are some homemade tricks to ensure and achieve the same effect with much less investment, though their effectiveness is questionable.
- Burns: Pule affected area lightly with fine sandpaper for wood and then treated the area with some paste wax. If the cabinet is damaged it is better that you leave in the hands of a professional.
- White spots: usually mean there is moisture under the paint. Is said to eliminate need to place a mound of salt on the affected area, cover with a towel or terry cloth and focus the warm air over it at low temperature.
